Why do some songs not play?
Music comes in many formats. Some of them - like Apple Lossless (ALAC), 24-bit WAV, or a song file that got slightly damaged when it was copied - cannot be opened by phone and browser music engines. Those songs sit silently in your collection. Most music apps simply skip them, or show an error, and you never find out which songs are affected.

What My Melodies GcX does differently
This app is the one that actually tells you and then fixes it for you:

It checks every song in your collection, one by one, and shows exactly which ones will not play.
It repairs them for you - right here on your own device. No computer, no other software, no sending your music anywhere.
It never destroys anything. Your original files stay exactly where they are. Nothing is deleted, and your WAV and FLAC master recordings are never touched.

How to use it - 3 steps

Tap Select Music Folder and choose your music folder. Wait while it tests the songs.
Tick the songs you want repaired (all of them are ticked for you).
Tap Convert selected files and wait for the progress to finish.

What you get after converting
Each repaired song becomes an MP3 at 320 kbps - the highest quality MP3, which sounds practically the same as the original to the ear, plays on every phone, car screen and computer in the world, and keeps the song details (movie, singer, music director) inside the file.

Where the repaired song goes

On a phone or tablet: the repaired song is placed straight into the app. It plays immediately - you do not have to move any files. Just go back and press play.
On a computer: the repaired song is saved to your Downloads folder. Move it into the same music folder as the original, then tap Change Library in the app and pick your music folder again so the app can see it.

Good to know

The first repair downloads the repair engine once (about 30 MB). After that it works offline.
An MP3 is a smaller, compressed copy - so a repaired song is not lossless any more. That is why it moves from the HD list to the LD list. This is normal, and your untouched original is still there.
Once a song has been repaired, this tool stops asking about it - it remembers that the song already has a working version.
